Six-time Olympic champion in short track Victor An thanked everyone who supported him during the performances for the Russian national team. An open letter of the short track player to the fans and team members is published in the Instagram of the Russian Skating Union. According to him, he went through a long and difficult journey with "colleagues in the national team". "For him I'm grateful to everyone," - wrote the athlete. He noted that he hopes that "the team will be fine," and wished "the guys will achieve high results". Earlier it became known that Viktor An's career was over. He was offered to continue working in Russia as a coach, but he refused. Later it turned out that he handed over his apartment in St. Petersburg for a long time, which he received after winning the Olympics in 2014. At the Olympics in 2006, the athlete represented South Korea, but in 2014 acted as part of the Russian national team. Because of the doping scandal, he did not get to the Games in Pyeongchang.
