The vice-premier of Italy, the Minister of Internal Affairs Matteo Salvini called senseless the anti-Russian sanctions. However, they did not last long. Europe will soon have a chance to align its interests with the legislation. Apparently, the minister is counting on the elections to the European Parliament, which are scheduled for late May 2019. And until then, Salvini intends to explain to Italian and other European politicians how their decisions are detrimental to the economies of their own countries.

"I constantly draw the attention of the government to losses, and I will continue to do so, as the sanctions against Russia have no economic, political, social and cultural meaning," he stressed.. Earlier in Rome, it was noted that only in 2017. The country lost € 7 billion because of restrictions imposed by the EU in relation to the Russian Federation.
