Physical exercise can prevent cancer. This was stated by scientists from the National Cancer Institute in Maryland on the basis of their own research, which rely on medical databases in America and Europe.

According to experts, moderate physical activity is very important for the prevention of cancer.

In the study, which lasted 11 years, nearly 1.5 million people aged between 19 and 98 took part.

As a result, it was proved that an increased level of physical activity reduces the risk of developing a number of malignant neoplasms. Among them - colon cancer, endometrium (the body of the uterus) and breast cancer. In addition, there were data on 10 more cancers, among them cancer of the kidneys, liver, esophagus and others.

Under moderate physical loads, scientists understand light and accessible exercises that take two and a half hours a week.
