The founder of the largest museum in the post-Soviet space of the group The Beatles, Kolya Vasin died in Petersburg on the 74th year of life. This was written on Facebook by his friend Nikolai Barabanov.

Vasin was known as one of the main fans and popularizers of The Beatles - he was called the main Beatleman of the Soviet Union. He was carried away by the music of the band in 1963 and three years later he converted his apartment into a museum dedicated to the "Liverpool Four".

John Lennon, in response to Vasin's congratulatory telegram in 1970, sent him a live album "Live Peace in Toronto 1969" with his autograph. In the public center "Pushkinskaya, 10" in St. Petersburg Vasin founded the "Temple of Love, Peace, Music and John Lennon".
