According to the head of the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Kharkov Regional State Administration Oleg Yatsin, the central event on August 23 will be a flashmob dedicated to the state flag to be held on Constitution Square. The beginning of the event is at 9:00.

"This year we came up to the celebration of Flag Day in a non-standard and creative way. We keep the details of flash mob in secret to surprise Kharkovites. The only thing I say - we invite everyone to come to the Constitution Square in embroidered shirts. All interested persons will be able to take part in the action. It will be interesting, "- said Oleg Yatsina.

Also on August 23 at 14:00 in the Kharkiv Regional Philharmonic there will be a concert dedicated to public holidays.

August 24 at 10:00 on the Constitution Square will begin celebrations on the occasion of Independence Day of Ukraine.

Festive events will also be held in all districts of the region.
