The fact that the quality of technical elements will be assessed on a scale not from -3 to +3 points, but from -5 to +5 points, became known even after the June ISU congress in Seville. At the same time, the cost of jumping was changed. Now the new scale is put into effect officially. Russian Alina Zagitova is no longer the record holder in the short program (82.92). The winners of the title of world record holders are no longer considered to have already finished performing Tatiana Volosozhar and Maxim Trankov - their sports couple scored the best score in the short program (84,17). The Japanese solo Yudzuru Khanyu, the German couple Alain Savchenko and Bruno Masso, as well as the French dancing couple Gabriela Papadakis and Guillaume Catherine also lost the titles of the current world record holders.
