The Kyiv local prosecutor's office No. 10 announced suspicion of the former employee of the Embassy of Ukraine in the South African Republic in illegally seizing the state budget funds in especially large amounts. This was reported by the speaker of the GPU Andrei Lysenko.

According to him, in the course of the financial audit, it became clear that being in the period of 2016-2017 in a long-term business trip, a specialist of the first category of the Embassy of Ukraine in South Africa, without any documentary justification, took over 1.5 million UAH of state funds intended for the work of this diplomatic institution.

The local prosecutor's office also filed a lawsuit to recover the entire amount of damage from the suspect.
