According to the publication, in the gastrointestinal tract of a man born in 1995, a foreign object was found, which could be the cause of death. In the SIZO he was a suspect under Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine ("premeditated murder by prior conspiracy as part of a group of persons"). The police conduct a check on the death of the detainee.

The North-Eastern Interregional Directorate for the Execution of Punishment and Probation confirmed the information about the incident, but indicated a different reason for the death of the detainee. According to the penitentiaries, the boy felt ill and went to the medical unit. Her colleagues called an ambulance, but the doctors arrived only stated the death of a man.

According to preliminary information, the cause was acute heart failure, but the final conclusions will be made after the autopsy. The officers of the SIZO reported the incident to the police, the prosecutor's office and the Ministry of Justice.
