From July 30 to August 4, Italian wrestling competitions took place in the Italian city of Rome. This is reported in the Department of Youth and Sports of HOGA.

Kharkov won the championship in freestyle wrestling in the weight category up to 74 kg. On the way to the medal, Adlan Bataev won the opponent from Poland, but in the next match he lost to Ramazan Ishak Sari from Turkey, who eventually became European champion. Further in the struggle for third place, Adlan Bataev defeated opponents from Bulgaria and Armenia.

In general, at this championship, Ukrainians, through joint efforts of representatives of the free, women's and Greco-Roman wrestling, won 3 gold, 3 silver and 8 bronze medals.
