The most titled Ukrainian volleyball club Kharkiv "Lokomotiv" can cease to exist. On the eve of the president of "Locomotive" Eugene Scherbina gathered a press conference, telling that the club is forced to refuse to participate in European cups and the championship of Ukraine.

"Lokomotiv" is the only team from the entire post-Soviet space that has retained its name. In this season, we immediately refused to participate in European competition, although they had the full right to do so. This is due to the fact that for three years the team does not have a specific sponsor who could support the club throughout the season. It's a miracle that the team lasted three more seasons.

Thanks to the fact that we got compensation for Plotnitsky, we were able to finish the last championship, but we could not fulfill the terms of contracts to those players who were on the contract, we could not. It was necessary to give all "free", - Shcherbina shared.

Recall, the club Kharkov "railroad" for 27 years of Ukrainian independence 17 times became the champion of the country, 13 times won the national Cup, once took the European Cup, and three more times was his finalist.
