Deputy Chairman of the commission for the certification of FFU delegates and FFU security officers Vasily Orletsky commented on the scandalous situation with ex-arbitrator Sergei Shebek.

In late July, former referee Sergei Shebek, known for judging in the scandalous contractual match of the Carpathians - Metalist, promulgated a letter in which he asked to be removed from the lists of FFU delegates and no longer considered an official person of the federation.

Chairman of the commission for the certification of FFU delegates and FFU security officers Igor Gataullin noted that this request looks rather strange given the fact that Shebek is not a FFU delegate since July 17, 2018.

After that, Sergei Shebek made several offensive statements about the FFU and its management.

The situation was commented by the deputy chairman of the commission for attestation of FFU delegates and FFU security officers Vasily Orletsky.

"I am openly outraged and surprised by the accusations of Sergei Shebek against the leadership of the Ukrainian Football Federation. After all, the decision to ensure that Shebek was not included in the list of FFU delegates for the season-2018/2019, was accepted by our attestation commission of seven people. I personally communicated with Sergei during the exam. And frankly, in many issues, he just "swam", that is, was incompetent. That is why it was decided to abandon his services as a delegate of the FFU, "- said Orletsky.

"Besides, members of the commission drew attention to the fact that Shebek does not currently work in any football structure. That is, he has to do with football only as a former arbiter. But a candidate for the position of a FFU delegate can not write an appropriate statement, motivating his desire to cooperate with the federation by the fact that he was once an arbiter, or, say, a player. He should work in football structures, and Shebek is employed in a commercial firm. And, by the way, he wrote a statement with a request not to appoint him to matches on working days because of the employment at the main place of work ".

"Unpleasantly surprised me and the blatant lie, to the spread of which Shebek resorted in his commentary. He said that there are delegates who did not receive a single appointment last season. I can assure you that this is not so! The least number of matches held by the FFU delegate last season - four. It happened because we applied to the services of this specialist only in the first part of the season. Other delegates received about the same number of matches, and it's easy to check ".

"I understand that Sergei Shebek was offended by the decision of our commission, but he can only blame himself. I am sure that he was not qualified as a delegate of the FFU in the situation when it was necessary to ensure the proper preparation of the Yubileyny stadium in Sumy for the Olympic-Carpathian match, which was canceled due to the unreadiness of the lawn. If Shebek had previously informed the relevant services, the match could have taken place ".

"What is the current behavior of Shebek connected with? We all see what dirty information war is being waged against FFU. Apparently, now it will use also Sergey Shebek and his loud statements, which have nothing to do with the real state of affairs ".
