Jihadist group "Islamic State" took responsibility for the attack on tourists in Tajikistan. A corresponding statement was posted on the Islamist propaganda portal "Amak". This was reported by the international organization SITE, which tracks information about Islamist terrorists on the Internet.

On the eve of the car drove on seven foreign tourists traveling in Tajikistan on bicycles. As a result of the attack, two US citizens, one Swiss and a Dutch citizen. Three more people were injured. The authorities of the country consider the incident as a terrorist act, said the head of the republic's Interior Ministry Ramazon Rahimzoda.

Police of Tajikistan conducted searches of attackers near Dangara settlement. According to the authorities, three people were killed during the detention. At the disposal of the attackers there were knives and firearms.
