Fiorentina turned to Southampton with an official request about the possibility of acquiring striker Manolo Gabbiadini - reports SportMediaset.

"Saints" were ready to consider the proposals of "violets", but the 26-year-old football player strongly resisted the return to Serie A.

Gabbiadini played for Atalanta (26 matches in all tournaments, 2 goals), Cittadella (29, 5), Bologna (31, 7), Sampdoria (50, 19), Napoli (79, 25), and in January 2017 moved to Southampton (45, 11).
