In Belinke on August 3 an exhibition-congratulation to Vitaliy Volovich opens on the 90th anniversary. In the lobby of the 2nd floor of the annex building will be a tablet exhibition. Its textual basis will be the thoughts of the maestro about the period of life, and this is neither more nor less than 40 years associated with book graphics.

"I'm a book illustrator. This is my main business in life. Everything I did, I did for the book or in connection with it. I liked to reflect on the text, on the possibilities of its interpretation, to guess the atmosphere of the work, to look for plastic, adequate to its images. I was interested in the life of ideas in different time dimensions. I liked the composition of stories, their development in time - from page to page ", - once admitted the People's Artist of Russia.

Reflections master accompanies a photo report from a lithographic studio, where he created his portrait of the work of Valery Bakholdina, allowing you to assess - how laborious the workflow of manufacturing exactly printed graphics.

Also in parallel, viewers will be presented with an excursion on the best book series of the master. The object of Volovic's special pride was the illustrations he made for the Gorky Songs "About the Falcon and the Stormy Petrel", "Othello" and "Richard III" by Shakespeare, Goethe's Egmont, The Lay of Igor's Host, Stevenson's Heather Honey. Selected best book works are published in the album "100 illustrations to the works of classical fiction".

The second part of the exhibition, entitled "Vitaliy Volovich. The collection of publications "will acquaint you with the collection from the library fund. Belinsky, which included his author's albums, rare and well-known books, to which he put his hand mastre, will be located in the lobby of the 1st floor of the main building.

In the capital of the Urals, Vitaly Mikhailovich lives and works since 1932. The exhibition will open on the birthday of the maestro on August 3 at 15:00.
