Ukrainian Ambassador to Slovakia Yuri Mushka warned a group of deputies of the Slovak parliament about the inadmissibility of visiting the Crimea. The head of the Ukrainian diplomatic mission wrote a letter to the leaders of political parties with a request to refrain from traveling to the peninsula and stressed that they would later be prohibited from entering Ukraine. Slovak politicians reacted harshly to Mushka's statement, according to DW. Speaker of the National Council of Slovakia Andrei Danko noted that the deputies plan to visit the Crimea as private individuals and added that he hopes that the Ukrainian diplomat will apologize for the statements that do not correspond to the ambassador's authority. The representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia Peter Sousko asked the Ukrainian Ambassador to express his thoughts in a standard diplomatic manner, avoiding public statements.

The trip of Slovak politicians to the Crimea is scheduled for August.
