The driver of the VAZ car, who hit a baby carriage in Kharkov on July 14, was sober at the time of the accident.

"The investigators received the results of a medical examination of the driver. The driver at the time of the accident was sober, the examination did not reveal any signs of alcoholic intoxication. The investigators opened criminal proceedings on part 2 of Article 286 "Violations of traffic safety rules or the operation of transport," the police spokeswoman said, adding that the driver was detained.

According to Barannik, the mother of the deceased baby is in a satisfactory condition.
