At the international road checkpoint "New Guta" a queue for departure to Ukraine from buses with clients of travel companies was formed.
BelTA learned from the official representative of the State Border Committee, Anton Bychkovsky.
Starting from noon on July 14, tourist groups arrive massively to this border crossing point - 5-6 buses at a time. C 14. 00 clearance for departure is expected on average two dozen buses.
"At the same time, there are no queues at the nearest checkpoints that are able to receive buses, which indicates the inadequate planning of routes by tour operators. Travel companies do not take into account the recommendations of the State Border Committee on the uniform distribution of road transport for groups of tourists traveling for rest and returning to the country, "said Anton Bychkovsky.
He stressed that the control bodies take all necessary measures to accelerate the crossing of the state border.
"All jobs are involved with the use of reserves. Border control takes no more than 10 minutes for one such vehicle with a standard of 15 minutes. C 14. 00 to 18. 00 arranged 22 tourist buses. While the capacity of Novaya Guta is 4 buses per hour. Nevertheless, with such a number of vehicles waiting time can reach up to 6 hours, "stated Anton Bychkovsky.
