Every year, "Russian Copper Company" invests about one and a half billion rubles in environmental projects. This was told at the international exhibition INNPROM-2018 today by Natalia Gonchar, Vice-President of RMC for Environmental and Industrial Safety.

"This amount includes a set of works on the modernization of enterprises, as well as various measures to reduce waste. In general, the RMK policy is to increase production capacity while reducing the negative impact on the environment, "said Natalia Gonchar.

This year, the main environmental costs go to environmental activities at ZAO Karabashmed and Kyshtym copper electrolyte plant (KMEZ). In particular, at the KMEZ until the end of this year will be launched new gas cleaning equipment of German production.
