Automechanika Konstantin Kuznetsov from the Lexus car dealership said that the estimated speed of the car by Alena Zaitseva before the terrible traffic accident in the center of Kharkov was more than 100 kilometers per hour. This witness was told during the trial.
According to the man, he after the accident took the testimony from the control unit Lexus. The mechanic states that during the last actuation of the system, the gas pedal was pressed into the floor, and the driver did not act on the brake.
"The switch of the pre-emergency braking system did not work (it is started by the system). Thus, the car was not braked by the driver, but electronics, "- said Kuznetsov.
Kharkovchan also noted that the last time the system worked when the foreign car was stalling or something hit it in the side, as the angular velocity sensor kept the indicator at 33 degrees (so the car was deflected from the specified trajectory). At the same time, the witness pointed out that he can not pinpoint when the system worked - at the time of the accident or earlier.
Recall a terrible accident in Sumy occurred on October 18 last year. After a collision with the Volkswagen Touareg car Lexus RX 350 was thrown on a group of pedestrians who were on the sidewalk. As a result of the accident, six people were killed and another as much as suffered (one of them is Zaitseva's passenger). With a difference of two weeks, the court arrested both drivers. They can face up to 10 years of imprisonment under Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine ("violation of traffic rules").
