The development initiative belongs to the specialists of the Technical University of Munich.

It's all about sensors that are made in the form of gelatinous candies. They can monitor important indicators of brain and heart function. Standard hard sensors can damage the tissues of the body or cause inflammation when ingested. Therefore, German scientists decided to create a soft shell of gelatin.

This "candy" was created on a three-dimensional printer. As a result, an effective diagnostic apparatus was obtained, which can record the rhythm of the heartbeat, brain signals and muscle cell activity. In the future, the invention can be transformed into pacemakers.
