Arrested in a Crimean annexed to Russia on suspicion of terrorism in the propaganda of terrorism, a civil activist Nariman Memedinov was placed in a psychiatric hospital. This is reported by the public association "Crimean solidarity" with reference to the Crimean lawyer Emil Kurbedinov. According to counsel, Memedaminova, at least 20 days, was placed in a psychiatric hospital for "examination". The lawyer reportedly regards this as "a gross violation of his client's rights and pressure on his principled position". There are no public comments of Russian law enforcement agencies on this matter. On May 15, the Kiev district court of Simferopol, which was controlled by Russia, extended for four months the arrest of a Crimean Tatar activist, a civil journalist Nariman Memedeminov, accused of promoting terrorism. Memedinov will remain in jail until August 15. In March, in the Bakhchisaray district in the house of Nariman Memedeminov, Russian security officials and law enforcers searched. After that the court arrested Memedeminov.
