EU leaders urged Russia to acknowledge its responsibility for the crash of Malaysian Boeing flying over the Donbas in 2014 carrying MH17 flight. Such a statement was made at the end of the summit of the leaders of 28 EU countries in Brussels.
The summit participants also called on Moscow to cooperate fully in investigating the crash of the liner.
July 17, 2014 flight MH17 of Malaysia Airlines on the route Amsterdam-Kuala Lumpur crashed in the Donetsk region of Ukraine. On its board were 298 people, all of them died.
In May of this year, the Joint Investigative Group submitted a report in which it was proved that the Buk, who shot down the plane, belonged to the Kursk 53rd Air Defense Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation rejected this statement.
