The main informant of WADA, Grigory Rodchenkov, tried to commit suicide in his own apartment in the USA. This was reported by Alexander Ionov, vice-president of the Russian division of the International Committee for the Protection of Human Rights. "The information is carefully hidden by US intelligence agencies so that it does not leak into the press," RTG Telegram. According to him, the incident occurred on June 19, but it is only now known about him. Rodchenkov was found by FSB officers who immediately called an ambulance. In the apartment they found empty bottles of whiskey and six packages of strong tranquilizers. Ionov believes that the informer WADA could not withstand the pressure from the American intelligence services who are trying to get him out of evidence of the existence of a doping support system in Russia. "Apparently, his nerves passed after such serious accusations and all the noise that was raised around his person," added Alexander. Rodchenkov became informant WADA, which investigates the use of doping in Russian sports. His testimony led to the removal of the Russian national team from the Games-2018 in Pyeongchang. Allowed athletes of the country were allowed to act only under the neutral flag. Russia more than once rejected accusations of creating a doping system. At home against Grigory Rodchenkov criminal cases are opened.
