In politics, he came in the 70th, becoming a deputy of the Regional Council and the City Council of the Eagle. Then Zyuganov was even disaccustomed to a new profile, having obtained the scientific degree of Candidate of Science. The coup in his political career took place after the August 1991 putsch. Zyuganov decided to revive communism. From this idea, he has not refused to this day. In December 1993, he was elected a deputy of the State Duma, and a year later the parliamentarian headed the faction of the Communist Party, becoming its permanent "leader". Among the awards is the policy - the Order of Alexander Nevsky, which he presented in honor of the 70th anniversary of President Vladimir Putin.
