Ukraine and Israel at the political level agreed on the willingness of the agreement on free trade, ForUm told the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
It is noted that on June 19, the 11th meeting of the joint Ukrainian-Israeli commission on trade and economic cooperation was held in Jerusalem under the co-chairmanship of the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavel Klimkin and the Minister of Environmental Affairs, the Minister for Jerusalem Affairs and Heritage of Israel Zeev Elkin, as reported by the news site of financial markets of Ukraine and the world Elcomart. ua.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a number of issues of common interest, particularly in the areas of trade and investment, agriculture and water management, energy and communications, standardization and tourism. As a result of the negotiations, a protocol was signed for the 11th meeting of the commission.
One of the main results of Klimkin's visit was the coordination with the top leadership of the State of Israel at the political level of the readiness of the agreement on free trade between Ukraine and Israel, the negotiations on which lasted almost 6 years.
Recall that in March, Ukraine officially completed the negotiations in 2015 with the State of Israel to form and sign an agreement on a free trade zone.
