Scientists of the Karolinsky Institute say that practicing yoga improves the health of patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation. The assumptions of specialists are confirmed by the results of the studies: after yoga sessions, the heart rate is normalized in the patients and the pressure decreases.
The paroxysmal form of atrial fibrillation does not allow people to live as they would like - this condition is accompanied by chest pain, shortness of breath and dizziness. It turned out that only an hour of yoga practice a week had a significant effect on improving the general condition of patients with atrial fibrillation.
During the study - 12 weeks - patients significantly improved their physiological indicators. Reduced heart rate, blood pressure, normalized mental state. Regular practice of yoga allowed patients to improve coordination of movements, and slow breathing, typical for classes, increased emotional assessment of their condition.
According to scientists, yoga should be used as an auxiliary therapy for complex heart diseases.
