Drivers of electric cars will be able to park for free in paid city parking lots in Warsaw and other major cities in Poland during this year. This is one of the measures proposed in the law on electromobility adopted by the government of the country and approved by the president. Now the law should receive the encouragement of the European Commission.

In addition, in Poland it is planned to open 6,000 electric power stations and create a special fund to support transport with low emissions - it is expected that by 2027 the size of the fund will be 1.2 billion euros.

In December 2017, the fight against air pollution was declared one of the priorities for the work of the Government of Poland. According to the government, because of poor air quality, the country annually kills up to 50,000 people.
