In the vitriol shop of JSC "Uralelectromed" (the enterprise of the UMMC metallurgical complex) a new automatic packaging complex of the German production Haver FFS 600.

According to the head of vitriol shop Vladimir Ivonin, the equipment is installed in place of the old one, which was used for 17 years. The complex performs the same function, only more efficiently - it packs copper sulfate in polyethylene bags weighing 25 kg. Thanks to the modern automation system, the unit operates twice as fast as the previous analog and is able to pack 12 tons of copper sulfate per hour.

To start the Haver complex, the workshop was reconstructed - the premise for storing finished products was expanded, the old line of packaging was dismantled and new equipment was installed.

The modern packaging machine operates on FFS technology - Form, Fill, Seal (forming, filling, sealing). First, bags are formed from the sleeve polyethylene, which are then filled with copper sulphate and brewed. Then the bags from the products through the conveyor go to the loading-unloading module, where, using a stacker in several layers, they are formed on a pallet. The ready pallet is packed in a polyethylene cover and sent to the roller conveyor for shipping. The whole operation takes place automatically in two minutes.

As the specialists of the workshop note, the new complex eliminated manual labor. If the old line of apparatchiki-hydrometallurgy participated in the manufacture and sealing of bags, now this function is performed by a machine. In addition, to switch from one brand of vitriol to another apparatchiku it is enough to press the button on the touch screen, and the FFS-machine will automatically move along the rails to the desired bunker. Another advantage of the new complex is the availability of a single information system, which in online mode reflects all information about the operation of modules, tare weight, amount of vitriol in bunkers and other parameters.

We note that the enterprise produces high-purity vitriol and GOST grades. Copper sulfate is widely used in metallurgy, mining, oil industry, pharmaceutics, agriculture. In particular, for fertilizing and fertilizing plants, as an additive for the production of livestock feeds. In 2018, during the inspection audit, the company confirmed the certificate for compliance of the products to the requirements of FAMI-QS (European regulations for the manufacturers of feed additives and premixes).
