In the match of the 1/8 finals of the Champions League Besiktas - Bavaria, a runner on the field was the reason for stopping the game.

UEFA fined Besiktas for 34,000 euros for "inadequate quality organization of a home match against Bayern in the eighth finals of the Champions League".

The reason for the discontent of the leadership of the European Football Union was a red cat, who ran out onto the field and forced his appearance as an arbiter, Michael Oliver, to interrupt the game.

Despite the "12th player", Besiktas lost to Bayern with a score of 1: 3 (the total score for the sum of two matches - 1: 8) and dropped out of the tournament.
