The International Biathlon Union (IBU) has not restored the status of the Russian Biathlon Union (UBR).

"The IBU pays tribute to the efforts and work that is being conducted in the RRF, but the decision to restore the status of the organization as a full member will be submitted to the IBU Congress," the press release of the International Union.

It is also reported that the IBU did not include the Russian stages in the World Cup and IBU Cup calendar for the season-2019/20.

The matter was postponed until the congress, which will be held on September 5-9 in Croatia.

It should be noted that the RRF was deprived of the status of a full member of the IBU in December 2017 for violating the doping rules.

Let us recall that earlier the Russian Biathlon Union expressed the desire to add to its composition the Federation of Crimea's biathlon, which is not official.
