A short list of applicants for the "Golden Booker"

The Organizing Committee of the Booker Prize announced the shortlist of applicants for a special prize - The Golden Man Booker Prize, which will be awarded in honor of the 50th anniversary of the founding of the literary award.

As reported on the website of the award, the jury (writers Robert McCray, Camilla Shamsi, Lemn Cisse, Holly McNeil and radio host Simon Mayo) selected five finalists.

In particular, as noted 112, the "Golden Booker" claim:.

"In a free state," Vidiadhar Naipol;.

"Moon Tiger", Penelope Lively;.

"The English patient," Michael Ondatzhe;.

"Wolf Hall", Hilary Mantel;.

"Lincoln in Bardot," George Saunders.

The winner will be determined by voting on the site, which will last until June 25.

The laureate will be named on July 8 at the festival dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the award.
