Copenhagen took the first place among the 13 largest European cities for the development of sustainable transport, according to a report by the environmental organization Greenpeace. In particular, the roads here proved to be the safest, the transport policy - the most thoughtful and transparent.

Following Copenhagen goes Amsterdam (Netherlands), closes the top three leaders of Oslo (Norway). And the worst thing with transport from the point of view of ecology is the situation in Rome, writes Europulse.

The rating is based on five parameters: the development of public transport, air quality, road safety, mobility policy and active mobility, that is, the proportion of citizens who ride bicycles or walk.

As the compilers note, the theme of urban environmental transport is very important, because in non-industrial cities it is transport that is the biggest source of pollution.
