Villarreal midfielder Rodrigo Hernandez Cascante will continue his career with Atletico.

Atletico signed midfielder Rodrigo Hernandez Cascante from Villarreal, the official website of the "mattress".

The agreement with the 21-year-old Spaniard is designed for five years, and according to media reports the transfer amount was 20 million euros.

Rodri was born in Madrid and is a graduate of the Atletico Academy, from which he left for Villarreal in 2013. For the first team of the "yellow submarine" he made his debut in December 2015 and since then he played 84 matches.

In the past season, Rodri played for Villarreal 45 matches in all tournaments in which he scored one goal and gave four assists.

Together with the Spanish national team U19 he won Euro 2015, and in March he made his debut for the national team in a friendly against Germany.
