The number of applications for accreditation to the city's press centers of eleven cities hosting matches of the 2018 FIFA World Cup has almost tripled - since the launch of the reception they have been submitted by more than 5,000 media representatives, both Russian and foreign.
Press coverage from around 30 countries around the world, from Argentina and Brazil to China and Japan,. Among the Russians, judging by the number of applications submitted, the most active work during the mundial will be the media from Moscow, Rostov-on-Don, Kazan, St. Petersburg, Sochi and Saransk.
The largest information agency "Russia Today" acts as an operator of the city's multimedia press centers for Russian and foreign media during the 2018 FIFA World Cup. The main international football event will be held in eleven Russian cities from June 14 to July 15. Urban press centers will help journalists in covering cultural and controversial events taking place in the region and the city against the backdrop of the mundialya matches. Similar press centers the agency successfully organized during the Confederations Cup in 2017 and during the Olympic Winter Games in Sochi in 2014.
Every day the "Russia Today" team will offer journalists a rich business and cultural program accredited to the press center: press conferences and briefings with the leaders of the city and the region, representatives of the tourism industry, culture and art stars, master classes and visits to museums will be organized. At the press center sites, media representatives will have the opportunity to use the equipped workstations, free Wi-Fi, lockers and will be able to watch matches. In addition, in the press centers will be organized presentation zones of regions that host the matches of the championship, as well as an extensive excursion program for journalists.
Access to the press centers will be provided through accreditation on the website. Accreditation closes on May 30, 2018.
