The Russian national team during its stay at the World Hockey Championship in Copenhagen ordered vodka and caviar for a tidy sum.
This is told by the Fontanka portal with reference to the Finnish edition of Iltalehti, which found the accounts of the Russian delegation from the four-star hotel in which the team resided.
According to hotel workers, Russians basically ordered caviar and spirits, and the total amount of orders was 355,000 euros. They were most active in consuming alcohol after the defeat by the Canadian team (4: 5) in the quarterfinals of the tournament.
"I rarely saw such angry and disappointed customers, like last Thursday, when Russia lost to Canada," the hotel employee quotes.
Recall that Russian hockey players lost to Canadians and for the first time since 2013 and were left without medals of the world championship. World champions were Swedes.
