In the Sverdlovsk region during the raid events from Friday to Sunday, the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate detained 243 drunk drivers. Some of them refused to undergo medical examination.

All violators face either a fine of 30 thousand rubles, or deprivation of rights for a period of 1.5 to 2 years.

32 drivers, stopped by inspectors, were already involved for drunk driving during the year. They are facing criminal liability under Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

According to the Department of Propaganda of the UGIBDD in the Sverdlovsk Region, since the beginning of the year 56 road accidents have occurred in the region through the fault of drunken drivers. 20 people died as a result of these road accidents, another 70 were injured.
