The leadership of Everton decided to cease cooperation with the head coach Sam Allardyce.

Everton head coach Sam Allardyce will leave his post this week, reports Telegraph.

Big Sam led the "toffee" in late November, when after 14 matches the team scored 15 points and took the 13th position in the Premier League standings, signing the contract until the summer of 2019.

Despite the fact that under his leadership, Everton finished the season in eighth place, Allardyce proved to be a very unpopular figure among the fans of the club, who regularly called on the leadership to dismiss the 63-year-old Englishman.

It is reported that the board of the club listened to the fans, and Allardyce will receive compensation in the amount of six million pounds.

The main candidate for the position is Mark Silva, whom Everton already tried to entice from Watford before appointing Allardyce. The Portuguese is out of work since January, when Watford sent him to resign, accusing Everton.
