The draft budget of the Pentagon for 2019 includes the possibility to move away from sanctions against the Russian Federation "in their own interests". About this, Bloomberg writes with reference to its sources. According to the agency, in the near future the document will be considered at a meeting of the Committee on Armed Forces of the House of Representatives of the US Congress. "The new measures would allow the Trump Administration and the US Armed Forces to deviate from certain sanctions if allies that have ties with the Russian Federation prove that they support the US national security guidelines," the draft document says.. Such states will also have to prove that they severed ties with Russia in the defense sphere and reduced dependence on the Russian sector of intelligence and defense.
