The return match of the semi-finals of the Turkey Cup between Fenerbahce and Besiktas was interrupted after the owners' fans broke their heads to the head coach of the "Eagles" Shenolu Gunesh.
According to the regulations, the "canaries" had to be awarded a technical defeat, nevertheless, after interference in the situation of politicians, including the president of the country, Recep Erdogan, the Turkish Football Federation decided to finish the match from the 57th minute with closed stands.
The leadership of Besiktas condemned this decision and did not show up for the duel, which was due to finish today, on May 3rd.
Thus, the ticket to the final was automatically received by Fenerbahce, and the "eagles" were suspended from participation in the tournament in the next season. In addition, they will have to return 800 thousand euros, which they earned in the current drawing.
Fenerbahce will play the Turkish Cup in a match against Akhisar, who was in the final due to the double of Ukrainian striker Evgeny Seleznev.
