With the retirement age of Russians, everything is clear - soon it will be increased. At least, experts assessed the words of the head of the government Dmitry Medvedev that this topic is moving from the expert level of discussion to the legislative. In other words, soon the president will receive an official proposal - to send women to deserved rest not in 55 years and men not in 60 years, as now, but a little later. But with these new figures there is still no clarity. Several ideas. The Ministry of Finance proposes the most radical way: to finish work before 65 years, regardless of gender. And start the reform, according to the experts of the department, should, as they say, yesterday and move fast, literally in one fell swoop: once - and plus 10 years. This initiative has grounds: "The demographic argument is that women live longer and less often engaged in heavy work, so in this logic it is necessary to equalize the retirement age," explained Oksana Sinyavskaya, deputy director of the Institute for Social Policy of the Higher School of Economics, RIA Novosti.. But, in her opinion, it is unlikely that the Ministry of Finance will be able to insist on its own: "Gender stereotypes in Russia are very strong, and first of all in the circle of politicians," she said.. "Therefore, the most likely option is this: the difference between the thresholds for men and women will continue, but most likely it will be reduced - that is, it will not be 5 years, but 3 years, maybe 2," Sinyavskaya said.. That is, the threshold values ??can make 60/63 years for women / men respectively, or 63/65 years. For less it is better not to count.

And if for citizens every year matters, it is more important for the country's economy, namely, how quickly the reform will be carried out. "The effect really depends on the speed of raising the retirement age, and the Ministry of Finance is trying to reduce the transfer from the federal budget to the pension system. But this means that for women the retirement age should be increased immediately for 10 years. This is a lot, and in the world no one has ever done this, "- commented Tatiana Maleva, director of the Institute for Social Analysis and Forecasting of the Russian Academy of Science and Technology. In any case, the expert emphasizes, the main indicator is the state of the labor market. This should be based on the writing of the reform. "We can raise the retirement age to at least 90 years. But the problem is that people will start to leave work because of disability, - Maleev points out.. - Is the Russian labor market ready to leave older people at work? Do they have enough productivity to increase GDP by a half? ", She asks the question and herself admits - there are no obvious answers. But the fact that the pension reform will soon be launched, no one doubts.
