The Football Federation of Ukraine (FFU) announced that it will not delegate its representatives to participate in the 68th FIFA Congress to be held in Russia.

This decision was made at a meeting of the FFU Executive Committee on April 24, according to the website of the Federation.

At the same time, members of the FFU Executive Committee authorized the Charge d'affaires of Ukraine in the Russian Federation Ruslan Nimchinsky to participate in the 68th FIFA Congress.

Such a decision was made with a view to preventing possible sanctions that could be applied to FFU for the absence of a representative from Ukraine at the FIFA Congress.

We will add that the Congress will be held on June 12-13.

Recall, Ukrainian athletes were banned from participating in competitions that are held in Russia, but then allowed.
