On Sunday at noon on an unregulated railway crossing in the town of Armyansk, there was a clash of an electric train with a Mercedes minibus. The crossing was equipped with a working light and sound alarm system.

12 people were injured from a minibus. Five of them died. Three were hospitalized in the Krasnoperekopsk hospital, and two were taken to intensive care. Three of them went to the polyclinic of Armyansk and went to Poliklinik Krasnoperekopsk. Among the victims there is one child.

It's hard to say why the driver drove to the crossing before the approaching train. According to one version, he could fall asleep at the wheel, on the other he could have an attack of illness.

The electric train "Kerch-Armyansk" did not descend from the impact from the rails. On the fact of road accident the check is started. Rescuers and psychologists worked at the scene. Movement of trains after the completion of rescue operations was restored.

On the fact of the incident, a criminal case was instituted for part 3 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (provision of services that do not meet the safety and health requirements of consumers, resulting in the death of two or more persons by negligence).
