Roskomnadzor blocked 18 VPNs and proxy services that provided access to Telegram's messenger. This was told Interfax in the press service of the agency.

Which services were blocked, the department did not specify.

Recall, on April 16 Roskomnadzor began to block the territory of Russia messenger Telegram, whose leadership refused to transfer the FSB encryption keys from users' correspondence.

Together with the Telegram servers, the agency contributed more than 18 million IP addresses of large hosting providers - Google, Amazon, Microsoft and Digital Ocean. Their Telegram uses to bypass locks.

The messenger remains accessible to users, Telegram uses the built-in ways of bypassing locks. In addition, the owner of the messenger Pavel Durov promised to pay grants in bitcoins to VPN administrators and proxy services that help users to bypass the locks.
