The authorities of the occupied Crimea decided to transfer to the federal property part of the island of Tuzla - the very island that 15 years ago Russians tried to tear away from Ukraine, paying no special attention to the fact that the island is part of that same "brotherly" and "sacred" Crimea peninsula. And now began to reject now, in pieces, wrote specifically for the Crimea. Reality journalist Vitaly Portnikov.

The question may arise: why? After all, the whole Crimea is occupied. And the whole Crimea is "included" in the Russian Federation and contrary to law, common sense, justice and history (and the UN General Assembly resolution) are mentioned in the Constitution of the state-invader. Why should Russians steal Tuzla from the Crimea?.

The answer to this question, in my opinion, is simple: the fear of the invader. Accurate, the animal some understanding that the Crimea will not remain Russian for a long time, that the stolen will have to be given away. So why, before it's too late, do not grab anything that lies badly from the stolen Crimea. Why not simply order traitors (betraying their country officials) to give at least Tuzla?.

There is nothing new in this tactic. Formally "Soviet" Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania were the same republics of the Soviet Union as all the rest. But then why, after the occupation of Latvia, was she stolen in favor of the RSFSR, the county of Abrene - now the Pytalovo district of the Pskov region? Why, after the occupation of Estonia, part of the territory of this small country, together with the historic district of Narva, Jaanlinna-Ivangorod, was annexed to the Leningrad and Pskov regions of Russia? Why after the Second World War, when part of East Prussia, historical Little Lithuania, was transferred to the Soviet Union, it was made the province of the Russian Federation - although with this republic it had no common borders or historical ties. And with Lithuania - had. It was there that the literary Lithuanian language was formed, it was there that the great Doneylaitis was born, it was there that the first Lithuanian book was printed and the first Lithuanian grammar. And, nevertheless, Koenigsberg became Kaliningrad, not Karalauchasom. This famous city did not even have the name of a Russian,. And Lithuanian - it has always been.

"So why?" But because, I think, were also afraid. Because they understood that sooner or later they will have to give. So why not steal from the Baltic countries territory that can then be left in Russia? His country for the "Kremlin elders" - so that they do not talk about "internationalism" - there was always Russia. And everything else - colonies, captured territories, future enemies.

The same thing we see now. For Putin and the company, I'm sure that whatever tales they tell to their gullible subjects, Crimea is Ukraine. They simply took this territory and its inhabitants - like the Donbas, Transnistria, Abkhazia or South Ossetia - hostages. And while there their troops and their power are stealing prisoners. Nothing new. Abkhazia, too, not so long ago had a territorial conflict with Russia. Pridnestrovians were blackmailing with pensions. Ossetians were dispersed, they did not allow them to elect their president during the "snow revolution". Donbass simply annihilates daily. And in the Crimea they arrange repressions, they try to break the Crimean Tatar people and steal pieces of territory.

Occupation is an occupation.
