Coach's coach Stefan Rutenbeck will leave the club at the end of the season, even if the "goats" will remain in the Bundesliga.

The Cologne leadership decided not to renew the contract with its head coach Stefan Rutenbeck.

Rutenbek, who since July 2017 was coach of Cologne U19, temporarily took over the duties of head coach in early December after the dismissal of Peter Shtoger, and later concluded an agreement until the end of the season.

In total, under his leadership, Cologne scored 18 points in 15 games, but the "goats" never managed to rise from the bottom of the standings. For five rounds before the end of the season, they lag behind the 16th position by six points.
