Psychiatrists and psychologists say that in the modern world, people often suffer from anhedonia - the lack of the ability to experience pleasure from life. With this is also related to yourself, often taking the form of true hatred.

According to the Russian expert, professor of psychiatry Andrei Berezantsev, today you can increasingly find a depressive personality type, which is characterized by suppressed emotions and gloomy perception of the environment. Psychiatrists correlate this state with hormonal characteristics.

"The basis is the lack of a" hormone of happiness "of serotonin at the neurochemical level. This forms a personal trait, which in the future will condition a constant serious condition, "said Berezantsev.

In many cases, according to psychologists, the foundation for the problem is laid by parents and their methods of education. For example, this happens if a child is only made to make observations for mistakes and insufficiently good behavior and almost never praise.

Also often parents cultivate in the child a complex of guilt - they say, they gave him a lot, but he did not live up to expectations and hopes, did not compensate the investment invested in him. In the subconsciousness of the child, an attitude is formed that he is bad, which can remain with him for life.

What is fraught with such a negative attitude to yourself? Psychologist-conflictologist Oleg Ivanov told Life that when growing up a person learns to accept himself and keep emotions in check. But there are severe cases, when dislike for self-growth fails. Then in adulthood this will lead to serious problems, including health problems.

The data of scientific research confirm that a person who has a long period of experiencing negative emotions can develop somatic diseases. In particular, painful menstruation, visual defects, bulimia, bad skin, diseases of the spine and joints are associated with this condition.

"Anger is reflected on the condition of the liver and gallbladder. There may be hypertension or boils. The longer a person holds negative emotions, the more serious the disease, up to the cancer and the lethal outcome, "is the opinion of another psychologist Daria Travinskaya.

In addition, people who are too rigid and demanding of themselves can develop autoaggression - a conscious or unconscious desire to harm themselves. Against this background, various dependencies develop - alcohol, narcotic, food. Also, a person may be injuring himself. In some cases, autoaggression is consistent with serious mental disorders, for example, with schizophrenia.

According to experts, first of all people with this problem need to seek professional help. The refusal to recognize it and especially to correct it, as well as suppressing its negative emotions and the desire to hide and hide them even from close ones can lead to the worst. Also, experts advise spending as much time as possible on various activities - hobbies, communication with pleasant people. Physical activity and nature walks should be mandatory and as regular as possible.

Earlier MediQuForum wrote about the finding of specialists who made the discovery that certain words in the speech of people can indicate the presence of mental illnesses.
