In the Donetsk region, a doctor from one of the regional hospitals of the region claimed 17 thousand hryvnia of undue profit, and in Zhytomyr region the chairman of the medical commission is three thousand hryvnia.

As reported by the Department of Protection of the National Police Ukraine, in Donetsk region law enforcement officers documented a criminal scheme of systematic extortion of improper benefit by a medical worker of one of the hospitals in the region.

"As part of the criminal proceedings it was found that the funds required for resolving the issues of registration of the disability group. For the solution of this question, the person involved claimed UAH 17,000. With the receipt of part of this amount - 8000 hryvnia offender was detained, "- said in a statement of law enforcers.

In addition, in the Zhytomyr region, workers of the regional department of economic protection of the National Police also detained a doctor. The Medic demanded and received an undue advantage for resolving the issue of appointing a disabled person to a citizen, but estimated his "help" at three thousand hryvnia.

The persons who are bribed in bribery may face punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to ten years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years with confiscation of property.
