New CEO of West Bromwich Mark Jakins is shocked by the financial condition of the club.

The executive director of West Bromwich Mark Jakins spoke about the financial situation of the club.

"I will be honest. When I returned to the club, I was shocked by the decisions made by the predecessors, "Jenkins said..

"Despite the record salaries for the club, as well as transfer and rental expenses, we still ended up in this position (at the bottom of the standings)".

"I used to read that the club is working at the limit of its short-term cost control (STCC), but I thought it was just a bargaining position. But now I'm back in the club and can assure you that we are on the very limit. We no longer have money for wages ".

STCC was introduced to ensure that clubs could not spend too much television money on wages. This means that the Premier League teams can not increase the wage bill by more than seven million pounds per season.
