Some of the pictures laid out are made on the streets of the British capital, others are depicted famous politicians and celebrities.
Coloring photos Amaral has been engaged for several years. According to her, one of the main components of the process is not so much the processing of pictures, but the preparation for it: to study what colors should be used in the photo, the artist sometimes spends a few weeks.
"This is of great importance," says Amaral. - I never start a job without collecting as much information as possible. This is what helps to make the colors on my works historically accurate and reliable ".
In August 2018, the artist plans to release a book with her works. On the edition of The Color of Time: A New History Of The World, she worked with historian Dan Jones. The book will include about 200 pictures taken from 1850 to 1960.
