The incident occurred on Saturday, but the police gave detailed comments only a day later. "The car was deliberately sent to a group of children, so we consider this incident an attempted murder," said police spokesman Peter Sharp.

One of the victims, a 14-year-old girl, was seriously injured and hospitalized in a severe but stable condition. Four other children aged 12-14 years received minor injuries, they were assisted both at the scene and in the hospital, from where they were later written out.
